SEEING OUT THE LAST YEAR OF MY TWENTIES

How surreal. My twenty ninth birthday. The last year of my twenties. 365 days till the big 3.0.

Last year I spent my birthday in a pandemic. Nothing unusual, we’ve all experienced a lockdown birthday now no matter what month you were born in. This year, a sedate affair with a bracing walk on the beach planned with the family I had to stay apart from last time. Next year, I can only hope will be more normal with a bash worthy of a big birthday or a trip away.

This is 27

It’s my 27th birthday today and as with every birthday that’s come before it since the age of about 21 when it started getting a bit same old same old, I am sat reminiscing about the last 365 days and how quick it’s gone. 27 years on this planet. Twenty Something Meltdown Is Two!

My blogs second official birthday cropped up on me very quickly and uhm, actually passed me by. Twenty Four Things I Did In My Twenty Fourth Year.

Guess who's birthday it is! Ya girl turns 25 as of about 1.15am today.

Twenty five years old. I have officially left the young voters age bracket if we have another general election and if I made my X Factor debut now I'd be in the Overs category. Twenty four felt like a very 'non' age to me, like a bit made up? Twenty five sounds like a nice solid round number so I'm hoping it'll be a happy, successful year full of adventure (and maybe some holidays or clothes or summin fun).

Planning A Surprise Birthday With Talking Tables. *

You might have noticed I've been on a bloggers weekend away. I shouted it from the rooftops, I instagrammed all of it and my feed has been full of it since - you'd be hard pushed not to know I'd been. There'll be a photo diary up soon about our time away, what we did and what it's really like going away with bloggers but for today I thought I'd share some snaps and details of our surprise birthday.

(You can see all our pics using the hashtag #BloggersPitB on Instagram)
