5 Minutes With My January Advertisers 2018.

Meet my January advertisers.

How we're already on my first advertisers post of 2018 is beyond me. It feels like 2 minutes since I was writing the first one of 2017 and yet here we are in a fresh new year with (some) fresh faces and lots of fresh makeovers.

I am excited to be in 2018, I think maybe you've gathered that from my recent blog posts and my Insta stories but I am also really excited for my advertisers. Lots of the girls who grace my sidebar return month on month and it gives me a chance to really watch their blogs change, develop and grow and it's great when these are some of my fav bloggers and online pals.

Without further ado, here's my January advertisers this time round;

5.

I used to introduce Bethany as the girl who needed no introductions on my blog as she'd advertised with me so much but maybs this time she might need an introduction, an explanation or two. But for the mo just have a peep at what I wrote about her when she advertised back in November 2016 and then again in April, May, June, July and August

4.

So introductions needed - you might not recognise the logo but hopefully you'll recognise Bethany when I say she's the face behind what used to be Spare Oom blog. Since she was last on my sidebar she's had the mother of all blog redesigns and not only overhauled her look but also her name and all her social media platforms. Gone is Spare Oom and in is B. Rambling which she has so accurately described as erm, her, rambling.

3.

I've loved Bethany's blog truly for well over a year now and I have been so excited to see her redesign and everything she's doing with it. But not only that I feel like of late her content has moved on too. I feel like she's really nailed what content she wants to write (basically, whatever she wants to) and it come across in her writing, which is passionate, and her pictures, where she always seems so happy to just be outdoors wandering.

2.

My favourite post of Bethany's this time though was so hard to choose, especially because I'm picking from months and months of content since she was last with me, but I finally settled on 'looking back on a year ago.' This post to me just emulates what I mean about Bethany's blog of late and you can tell she's super content in life, happy with the boyf and generally kicking butt. Very much looking forward to seeing what 2018 brings to this great gal.

It's been a while since Bethany advertised with me last in August, but the good news is she's here to stay (at least for a bit) as she's signed up alllll the way to June!!!

5.

A new face to the blog! Peta is not only a new blog to my sidebar but she's also a new blogger to me, and I'm glad to have found her. Her bio on her blog says 'free from food journal, happy lists and midnight musings' and if that doesn't immediately intrigue you then you broken pal.

4.

I have already discovered from just a month or so of following Peta on Instagram that she is one of the most engaged, supportive Instagrammers out there. There's rarely a day that goes by that she doesn't message me or leave me a comment on my posts and bloody hell when you're battling the algorithm it's greatly appreciated. Her feed also features lots of pics of the cutest cat so you should definitely be following her.

3.

Peta follows a plant based lifestyle and you can read all about why on her about me page (which is delightful FYI). She has a whole tab on her blog header dedicated to recipes which if you're taking part in Veganuary this month might be one you need to bookmark. Her food photos are insaaaane and make me hungry every time I click on it.

2.

Much like the Friday Favourites that a lot of bloggers (including myself) write, Peta has a series called Wonderful Wednesday's which has just seen it's first publication of 2018. It was in this post that I discovered Peta is from Looe in Cornwall which is one of my very favourite places and somewhere I spent countless summer holidays when I was younger. The moral of the posts is simple - a list of the loveliest things and the happiest of memories and it's very heartwarming.

1.

So I wanted to throw out a favourite blog post, as I often do in these advertising posts but actually I wanted to do something a bit different and do a lil shout out to her entire site. I am all for blogs that look like websites these days, ones with landing pages or home pages, ones with amazing photography and editorial layouts and Peta's is just bloody gorgeous.

Sarah from Just Buttons has been advertising with me for a few months now including in October, November and December of last year. Before that she was one of my very first advertisers way back in November 2016 which seems like a lifetime ago!

4.

Since last month when I introduced Sarah back on the sidebar, her blog has gone through a little revamp. She's got a new blog banner, it's all gone very minimalistic and her blog is looking swishier and brand friendly than ever!

3.

Last month I said that Sarah's new blog series on her weight loss journey was one of my fav posts and toward the tail end of the month she shared this one on surviving the aftermath of Christmas. This is v much on my mind at the moment with the new year and all the post Christmas guilt so Sarah's tips were very much appreciated.

2.

My fav blog posts at this time of year are those about resolutions, what's to come and reflections of the year gone by. I myself am feeling super pumped about 2018 and I was excited to read Sarah's post on why it's going to be the year for her. I'm excited to read her blog over the next year and watch her smash her goals (and hopefully expand her family so we have more cute babies all over our Insta feeds?)

1.

After months and months on my sidebar, and a design change to boot, this is Sarah's last month advertising with me! It's been an absolute pleasure as always with this gal and hopefully she'll be back sometime soon!

I feel like my first bullet point about Ellen is just a run of links but honestly she's been advertising with me for so long I worry you've missed it all! I always share links I've enjoyed from Ellen's blog so check out her previous advertising slots here; April, May, June, July, August, September, November and December

4.

When Ellen first started advertising with me she actually advertised three blogs at once for three months in a row. Now though she's condensed her work to one blog which she advertises with me and incorporates a whole host of topics, all tied into her vintage blog which I loooove. There's something for everyone from beauty and fashion to parenting, blogging, interiors and financial advice.

3.

I am all about making a bit of extra cash or saving all of mine so Ellen's post on 10 ways to make extra cash online in January. This is always a poor time of year when you've spent all your cash on Christmas and Ellen shares 10 super easy ways to make your bank balance look a little healthier, from selling your old DVDs to completing surveys.

2.

Following on from the success of her 'why she inspires me' series, Ellen has created a linky which is aimed to support and celebrate female blog bosses and she's posted the rules for January here. It's really easy to take part and has a very supportive message so have a go why dontcha!

1.

I mentioned this last month but it's worth mentioning again - Ellen has not only signed up with me for next month, she's signed up for another FIVE months so she'll be with me till June! I think she's officially taken the title of the longest serving advertiser for sure!

Oh this one is a familiar face we haven't seen for a long while! Rachel from No Space For Milk (still in the running for my fav ever blog name FYI) advertised with me back in May last year, and before that in February nearly a whole year ago.

4.

Rachel's blog has long been a fav of mine and my love for her has been made public on occasion, mainly in the form of a Twitter GIF. I am appalling at Twitter these days and never tweet, do chats or engage ever but she's always been top of my feed and her tweets are always super relatable (and often involve cheese). Follow her here!

3.

Like I mentioned above, I am living for everyone's new years content and I love that a lot of us have chosen a word to focus on for the year. Mine was intention, Rachel's is Calm. I think of Rachel sometimes as a wise lil owl and she just always sums up what I want to say perfectly and her first paragraph in her year of calm blog post does exactly that. To achieve her year of calm, Rachel has set herself 3 goals for 2018 and I'm sure they're all things we could do with focusing on too.

2.

Rachel's Instagram feed is one of those ones, you know the type, that you love and assume everyone else does too - only to realise their following is not indicative of how fab they are. If you like selfies with the most fabulous hair, a strong amount of stationery and a million shots of coffee then Rachel is your boo.

1.

Because it's been a while since Rachel advertised with me last, I get the lovely job of choosing an ultimate fav blog post that I think you should start with. It was difficult as I'm sure you can imagine and whilst I flirted with the idea of having an affair with creativity, ultimately I came down to 'Bossy Women' which I think I've read about 5 times now. This is a topic close to my heart, especially with having a little niece and wondering how that word will impact on her, and I've even tried to write about this topic myself but Rachel's words definitely hit the nail on the head more than mine.

I saved this cheeky sausage till the end for very good reason. Because she's a prick. Lol I jest, it's because Mel, the face and name behind Melberryy is one of my blog squad, one of my favourite people, best pals, URL turned IRL and all round general babe.

4.

Since Mel last appeared on this blog in earnest, rather than a fleeting mention (which was probs her surprise birthday), she's had a redesign and her blog is looking sleeker, and pinker than ever. She's got a snazzy new banner, she's redone her pages and her layout and she's written the funniest caption ever for her bio.

3.

Mel has a series going on on the ol blog of reflecting on her year, herself and where she's going and whilst I've had a few sneak peeks of it on Whatsapp, I love it. At the tail end of the year she wrote this post on 14 things she did in 2017 and it's a lovely insight into her life and her year. I'm all about looking back on the year and seeing what we achieved and we got a little mention as a squad too. My fav one though? 'Liking myself better'. I love this girl I really do.

2.

What I know about Mel that you might not is that she's a chronic sleep walker, sleep dresser, sleep texter and the rest and she wrote a blog post a lil while back about the messages she's sent in her sleep. I in fact persuaded her to write this post and she was even once in the Sun for her sleepwalking so she's like basically famous? Have a nosey at the messages of a sleep texter (and watch out for the one about me!)

1.

My fav fav fav post written by Mel in the last year is undoubtedly this one about why having a little brother was the best thing that could have happened to her. We get pictures, anecdotes and videos of Mel's little brother frequently through the Whatsapp group and their friendship and love for eachother is apparent but this post really is something else. I can't do justice this post but it's the best read and well worth five minutes of your time.
