Spring has sprung in all it’s glory in South East Wales and no I am not even beginning to think about the Beast from the East we got on March 1st last year. For me, spring has officially arrived.

The sun has been shining all of this week and the hazy mornings have turned into glorious days and the nights are still light when I leave the office. The bulbs in my pots outside the front door have started to sprout, there are daffodils in every supermarket and I have even seen my first hint of blossom.

I think I have come to the conclusion that as much as I love the build up to every season, it is summer that really has my heart but spring is the teaser for that joyous few months. I love seeing the new babies in fields and the first time you can drive with the window down or pop your sunglasses on. I have braved a few bare ankle days without getting frostbite and I haven’t worn a wooly hat since I was in Copenhagen and I am living for it.

And when I’m not dreaming about sandals and cold shoulder tops and warm weather on my skin, I am furiously googling all the spring goodies i can get my hands on to make my house feel more in keeping with the season. I am talking yellow and pink everywhere, I am talking cushions and throws and new bedding and I am of course talking Easter themed decor. I love a good excuse to bring some fresh vibes into my home, to throw open the windows, have a good old deep clean and Marie Kondo the shit out of each room to make room for all these beautiful babies……..
