No rest for the wicked and all that- a blog post and promos on Christmas Day??!! Nobody panic, I scheduled them, whilst you're reading this waiting for your dinner to cook I will be enjoying my own festive day and not sat at my desk working.

1. Friday Favourites.

Last Friday I spent the day in Cardiff with this beaut. Jenny Webb was my housemate for three years of university in Wrexham starting as the first person I met in Freshers in Halls and following me (just couldn't shake her) into a teeny tiny student house in a little row of terraced houses where we lived just a step, (literally) away from eachother. Moving out of Wrexham last summer and moving back to our respective homes with our parents, I can no longer just hop over the step and barge into her room when I want a chat/clothes/food/to go out. So last week, after 4 months of not seeing eachother we met up in Cardiff and spent an unreasonable amount of time in McDonalds and swapped Christmas presents. It was cute and then I followed it up with 'The Christmas Food Shop' with my Dad and taught him scan as you shop. It was a good Friday.

2. Late Night Driving.

Is there anything better than just driving at night with someone you love and some good music? Especially if you have somewhere exciting to go like a holiday but just generally, there is something about being the only people on the road and just driving and that's how me and the other half spent Saturday night in my new car. Just on a drive, we didn't even go anywhere, we did a huge loop and went home but we chatted and sang along to Christmas songs and the rain stopped and it was glorious.

3. Christmas Jumpers.

As I mentioned in yesterday's post, I am a big advocate of the Christmas jumper, the tackier the better. This year I am re wearing a jumper my brother bought me from trusty old Primark when he was in uni and it has had about 4 wears this week already and is my go to outfit for Christmas dinner with a tartan skirt. OOTD goals.

4. New Traditions.

My Christmas' have always been the same, every year since I was a child but this year, well it's being shaken up a bit. For the first time ever I am not waking up in my own house on Christmas morning, instead I'm waking up at 5am to see my boyfriend off to work and then I'll be driving home to my folks. My brother won't be home either, he'll be with his 6 month old and his new family and will just be popping home for dinner and shooting off again. As sad I am about traditions ending, I am excited for a new era of making traditions, ones to continue for the next few years. Yesterday I celebrated Christmas early in the morning with my niece and new extended family and in the evening celebrated with my boyfriend's family as he's working Christmas day. It just brings Christmas forward that little bit and stretches out the festivities longer than one day.
