5 Minutes With My Advertisers - July 2018.

My poor July advertisers have had to wait a whole long time for this one. I try and get my advertisers round up done in the first kinda week of the month but alas, life majorly got in the way of this one.

For the first time ever I haven't filled the six advertising slots available for the month and I suspect it won't be the last. The blogging world is changing and the world of blog advertising is changing I think. Maybe it'll stay in this format for a while yet, maybe I won't fill all 6 spaces, maybe it'll change and I'll come up with a new system. Who knows - but what I do know is I'm not the only one thinking it.

A Love Letter To Summer.

For those of you readers who aren't from round these parts, the United Kingdom is, amongst other things (world cup fever, government falling apart etc, Brexit etc)....a heatwave. It's been going on a solid 3/4 weeks. Longer if you take it back to the beginning of June and ignore the sporadic rain we had after that. I don't know at what point we stop calling it a heatwave and start considering this might just be our summer but I for one am living for it.

Social Media & Blog Statistics - June 2018

If you read yesterday's monthly round up it'll come as no surprise to you that this blog stats and social media report might be a bit of a sorry state of affairs. I don't really know how many of these I'll keep doing, I don't massively enjoy writing them anymore and the blogging world is currently on a bit of a downer, we all know that.

My Month In Photos - June 2018.

I didn't even know if I was going to write this post as we're already 10 days into July and I have advertisers to promote and social media stats to explore but I also wanted to eek myself back in to writing with a lil 'what I've been up to' post and seen as this monthly roundups are just that.....well I thought I'd best just check in.

#diaryentryfrommyhome

I have also been feeling this year like home is more important to me too. The notion of home has always played a huge part in my life and that's been more to do with family than anything else. I have always felt like 'home' has meant different things to me, like I'd refer to my childhood house as 'home' when I was in university and my flat 4 hours away as 'home' when I was back with Mum and Dad. Both those places felt equally homely to me, both the house I had for a mere 2 years with a friend and the house my parents have been in since I was born.

Guiding My Brother Through Lasers & Stealing Diamonds With My Dad*

This week has been a busy one there's no doubt about it. I have been rushing here there and everyone, as you read this I am away with the weekend in West Wales with friends and I have had a million and one things to do in my bullet journal.

So how to combat it?

Throw caution to the wind and take your brother and father out for a wild Thursday evening of course.

2 Years Of Bullet Journaling - A Birthday Celebration.

In May I had my two year blogging anniversary. Yes I remember the date well, yes I started mid way through the year the first time because I just couldn't wait till January to start what I suspected would be a new stationery addiction (and I was correct).

It's safe to say bullet journaling has changed my life and that's no exaggeration. Aside from the major impact it's had on my productivity and the over haul of my organisation, it's generated a massive part of my audience and in some ways contributed to my Blogosphere Awards nomination because it definitely got my name out there to all those cherubs who voted for me.

So here's a little appreciation to the humble bullet journal and our two year love affair;

The Perfect Present For The Happy Couple | Wedding Guest Gift List.

Today's gift inspiration list is gifts for the happy couple on their wedding day. Ok sure so most people ask for cash toward their home or their honeymoon these days but ya know, if in the unlikely event you have to actually think of a gift or you want to get creative then this is the list for you. My top recommendation would 100% be the personalised cheeseboard because 1. who doesn't love cheese? And 2. I bought it as a Christmas gift last year and it's fab quality and a great personalised choice.

Dresses, Outfits, Accessories & Shoes | Wedding Guest Outfit Wish List.

Today's list - wedding guest outfits. Last year I did a wish list for people who hate dresses but this year I have added dresses I'd genuinely wear as a strong dress hater (I might be changing my opinion on that tbh). I've got dresses, separates, jump suits, shoes, headpieces, bags, clutches and jewellery so you can mix and match all the pieces and combine them to make the dreamiest outfit ever. And there should be something to cater for all budgets too so if you're strapped for cash you might find something that'll make you feel fabulous and make your bank account happy too.

5 Minutes With My Advertisers - June 2018.

Hello and welcome to my SIXTH set of advertisers of the year. We are half way through 2018 and half way through another year of advertising somehow and I have some returning and some new advertisers to show off this month.

Social Media & Blog Statistics - May 2018.

So we're halfway through the year - how in the hell did that happen?

I felt all motivated and prepared to make 2018 'my year' for blogging. I was going to pitch to brands, to secure more paid work than ever, to have a blog overhaul, a new look, a new focus, have more viral content and generally kick ass. But then the 'death of blogging' phase kicked in and we all lost motivation and social media became more the big thing and I just got too busy in my own life and here we are - I am feeling the slow decline the same as the rest of us.

My Month In Photos - May 2018.

Oh hi bet you forgot about me didn't you? It's been a while. Maybe I'll just spend the rest of my blogging life apologising for taking impromptu breaks for the rest of my blogging career.

The last post I wrote was that corker on GDPR and what it means for bloggers and I think that says everything about the fact I haven't blogged since then. I think it's been about a fortnight with nothing from me. I have basically spent the last fortnight in a mad rush of family stuff, business stuff, life stuff and a whole host of GDPR compliance activities.

GDPR & What It Means For Bloggers.

The GDPR deadline is looming and businesses and bloggers alike are panicking. This guide will hopefully put your mind at ease that it doesn't need to be the big ball ache everyone is claiming it is and make it easy for you to implement the changes you need. I have already begun the steps to make my blog and businesses compliant with GDPR and take it from someone who likely is collecting a hella lot more data than you are - it can be a few small changes that take you up to date.

6 Things People Don't Tell You About Blogger Friendships.

Blogger friendships. We hear a lot about them - we hear about amazing ones, we hear about bitchy ones, we hear about groups that have loads of them, we hear pleas from bloggers who don't have them. It's a buzzword, it's an aspiration, it's a club, it's a clique and it's a joy if you're fortunate enough to be part of one.

A Sunny Bank Holiday Weekend In Wales.

Last weekend marked 8 years since me and Joss got together and we always try and mark it with something fun. Being skint, working hard and not having the time for a fortnight's holiday in the sun we booked a last minute hotel room in a Premier Inn on the outskirts of Llanelli and headed West for a few days.

Why I Need Two Bullet Journals Per Year & How To Migrate Over.

I am using my bullet journal as much as ever these days and I am loving it as much as I always have. I really feel like I have got into my groove with journaling and found a system that works really well for me and honestly I'd be lost without it.

I have a shiny new berry coloured journal waiting in the wings to become my second journal of 2018 so let's get into it shall we? Why exactly do I use two Leuchtturms per year?

The Dream Shopping List For Plant Lovers.

Oh hi just me creating a wish list for no other reason other than to find all the cacti themed things I didn't know I needed in my life.

So here's my top 35 picks from all range of budgets (yup, should have checked the price of that Urban Outfitters rug before I added it to the list) from the high street and online.

5 Minutes With My Advertisers - May 2018.

It's another month and it's another set of advertisers on my sidebar for the next few weeks. If you're a long standing reader of this blog then a lot of these gals will be no stranger to you, you probably already follow them - and if you don't after all this time then really what are you playing at?

I spose it's a testament to my blogging advertising packages that these girls return month on month on month which makes my heart all happy but I really do enjoy promoting them as people I loved long before they signed up.

This month I have 4 returning advertisers who you'll know the faces and logos and blog names of and 2 new to my roundups that maybe you don't follow yet. Read on to see who we have!
