5 Minutes With My February Advertisers.

Meet my February Advertisers.

Just look how cute my February advertiser logos all look together??? I love it when a plan comes together. As ever I've got 5 little gems advertising with me (you might recognise a few) who you should go and follow on every single platform.

5.

A familiar face! Becca snapped up the Gold spot for January and February and dontcha just love it when someone has the confidence in you to do that off the bat? You can read the five facts I wrote about Becca in last month's post here

4.

For the majority of last month Becca had an absolute mare transferring her blog host (I think!) so her site was down for weeks on end - I can only imagine the stress. What that does mean though is she's back with a bang and boy am I happy about it. Multiple posts, alllll the Instagram envy, she's bloody killing it.

3.

After I wrote last months advertisers post and before the site went down, Becca published this delight on the Follow/Unfollow tactic on Instagram. Like if that isn't an effective blog post title I don't know what is because I jumped on that on Bloglovin like hot cakes because lord knows it's something we all experience. Have a read here.

2.

And whilst we're talking blog posts, I mentioned Becca was back with a bang with not one but two fab posts for you to get your teeth into. My fav of the two was this one on creating a zen desk area because lord knows I could look at desk porn all day. Becca has created such a lovely clean minimalistic space which is still full of personal stuff and has convinced me even more that I need a white desk. Stat.

1.

Ok so I mentioned how beaut The Apres Gal Instagram account was in last month's round up but holy smokes she's upped her game even more in the last few days alone. That theme, those colours, THAT sunset photo, I need to move to London and hang out where Becca hangs out because I need that to be my grid too.

Right so I don't know if this is just a thing I do but there are certain blogs that I see on social media, read some of the posts when the link grabs you on Twitter....yet never follow the blog. Like not on purpose, just one of those times you think 'oh I'll remember that name to follow on Bloglovin later' and then forget. Every time. Lisa's blog is one of those for me, I see it ALL the time, read the posts and always forget to commit to following so I am made up she wanted to advertise with me because it forced me to follow on every platform and now I am obsessed. Legit.

4.

I always read blogs on Bloglovin and via social media links so I always like to check out the blog itself on a laptop or desktop cos you just get a better feel for the person behind it dontcha? Lisa's blog layout is SO cute and so pink and so glossy and I love it. Even her profile picture fits (why is she good at being on brand, can I plz be her?)

3.

And while we're on topic of on brand and themes let's just go ahead and fan girl over Lisa's Instagram shall we? I genuinely think Lisa's Insta is one of the most underrated blogs ever, how she doesn't have 10,000 followers I do not know. A healthy mix of flatlays, fashion and cute interiors all wrapped up in a pink and white bubble, I die.

2.

I shouldn't show bias when it comes to my advertisers but Lisa lives in Wales so obvs we could be IRL pals. I mean I'm *pretty* sure she's in very North Wales and I'm in very South Wales but whatevs, you know the drill. Interestingly though I searched her blog search bar for Wales because I am a stalker and found this little cutie from last year about a weekend in Cardiff, the type of post about my home city that makes me feel all fuzzy for where I live. Also she talks about the hell hole that is that long journey from North to South Wales and omfg I feel the pain because that was my journey to and from uni every few weeks.

1.

My fav post of late written by Lisa, and one I have shared on Twitter was this one on why blogging is still surrounded by so much stigma. I totally get what Lisa is saying when she says she doesn't feel she has the capacity to get into words how she feels about the subject. Blogging is such a weird thing to describe to people and you're met with one of two reactions; intrigue or scorn. It's a cracking topic, one I want to write about too.

Ellie the author behind EllesBellesNotebook has been a regular name popping up on my social media accounts for a while now, she's always been so lovely about my blog and left me such lovely comments. EllesBellesNotebook is a recent merger of blogs and ideas and you can find everything from book reviews to lifestyle and my fav; bullet journals.

4.

And whilst we've mentioned bullet journaling we may as well just crack right on and have a peep might we? My love of nosing at other people's journals knows no bounds except you know what I love even more? When someone does a REALLY indepth flip through with basically every page and layout included and that's exactly what you'll find in Ellie's 2017 edition. My fav pages at the Level 10 To Life and the social media pages.

3.

Anddd whilst we're talking social media (isn't this tying in nicely?) one of Ellie's most recent post compromises a social media and blogging checklist with a super handy free printable. It's a super handy document you can print out or pin for later and reuse time and time again with a tick box list of what platforms to post on, admin to do (eg replying to blog comments) and even the steps of constructing a blog post from scratch. I recommend you pin immediately.

2.

I've mentioned before when I research my advertisers I have a good old nosey around their blogs to find out everything I can and when I was looking around Ellie's tabs I found a feminism one which can't be a bad thing. There's posts on everyday sexism, male students and all kinds of issues and you should definitely have a little read when you've got five minutes.

1.

Ellie is not only a blogger but an author in her own right and she's currently crowdfunding to get her novel published. If you fancy knowing more or helping her along you can do so over here!

5.

Oh what's this? 4 whole months with this little beauty on my sidebar? Yes from the very start of my advertising back in November the lovely lovely Hailey has stuck with me and signed up again and again and again and *hopefully* enjoyed herself? You can read what I've already written about Hailey here, here and here

4.

Hailey has recently started a job in journalism and has written a post on why she wanted to get into that career and how she made her way there. I know so little about the industry and it's a really interesting post to read to find out how it works, what you have to do to get there - especially because Hailey is from Germany so things aren't necessarily the same as here in the UK.

3.

I genuinely go on about Hailey's end of the month round ups EVERY SINGLE DAMN MONTH but I genuinely love them. You can have a read of January which includes an amazing illustration one of Hailey's colleagues drew of her and you can sympathise with her feeling poorly on the first day of the job. I swear to god I had exactly the same symptoms when I was poorly for 3 weeks of January, maybs it hopped over the pond from Germany to me?

2.

I wanted to include something different for Hailey this month other than her blog and her ace Instagram so I went for a little mooch over to her Pinterest and fell head over heels for this board. Basically it's just pink. Pink everything and I should have used it as the inspiration behind my mood board this month.

1.

Little bit of inside information for you here, it's actually Hailey's birthday next week so be sure to send her messages and tweets and alllll the birthday GIFS.

5.

Sometimes I come across a blog and I wish I could've claimed their domain way before they did and Emma's is one of them. Thoughts Of An Overthinker; there has never been a blog name more suited to me than my own. Also can we just take a minute to appreciate the sheer beauty that is the logo?

4.

So time to make a confession here; you know when you just ASSUME you're following someone on social media? That's what happened with me and Emma's Instagram. We follow eachother on everything else, I read her blog, I see her name a lot on my Twitter feed, naturally I just assumed it's one of those things. But when I advertise I always make sure I'm following everyone on Twitter, Bloglovin and Insta....and that's when I discovered I wasn't. Legit I was like "OMG SHE'LL KNOW THAT I ONLY JUST FOLLOWED HER I AM A FRAUD" cos I couldn't believe I was so here's her link because ya'll shouldn't make the mistake I did.

3.

Blogger by night (or weekends or summin, I don't know her schedule), saving the world by day Emma is doing that kinda job we all look at and think god what a rewarding and amazing thing to do; she's a student paediatric nurse. Honest to god I don't know how she manages to do anything let alone run a blog, post content and keep up a social media presence but holy cow bow down bitches, bow down.

2.

Thrifty is my middle name* and I am down for any blog or blog post that gives me all the money saving tips so when Emma published this extensive guide on discount codes I bookmarked it to share with ya'll on my advertising slot. Treated as a kinda master post to be continually updated, there's codes to save you dollah on all manner of things from electricals to fashion to transport to my personal fav; stationery.

*It's not, it's Elizabeth.

1.

So here's a fun fact; whilst advertising with me Emma is also hosting advertising packages on her own blog! From a mere 1 quid (better value than me lololololol soz guys) you can advertise with her and she's got cute little names to round up the packages based on her blog title. I won't spoil them but basically I wanted to do something along the same lines and wasn't inventive enough so stuck to Bronze Silver & Gold. Emma will show you how it's done.

5.

So here's where I need to hold my hands up and say I left this little bean to the very end on purpose because I was genuinely considering how fan girly to get. I decided VERY was only appropriate. Rachel from No Space For Milk (another favourite blog title FYI, doesn't it just roll off the tongue?) is one of my absolute favourite blogs, people on Twitter and also happens to luckily quite like my blog too. I adore her.

4.

I think over the course of the last few months I have probably liked around 70% of Rachel's tweets. Every time. The remaining 30% only being the ones I don't see because I've put myself on a mindlessly scrolling ban. You know when you check back in after a while and those 'what you've missed' or 'you might like' tweets are on there based on things they think you might like to see? Rachel's are ALWAYS on there. And I mean always (along with Beth from Adventure & Anxiety which is cute cos us 3 have the odd little chat/GIF convo like a little gang). I think she might be my spirit animal and I have frequently told her I think we could be twins. Fo real.

3.

What I love most about checking in to read No Space For Milk is precisely that; there's always something to read. Rachel blogs all the bloody time, she is an actual queen and there is always something new to delve into. The other thing I love is how varied the content is, you never know quite what level she's on from one day to the next so the content is always fresh and different and there's a little summin summin for everyone. My fav of late was Learning To Say No Without The Guilt

2.

The lovely Rachel is a mental health nursing student and frequently writes about her passion for breaking the stigma surrounding mental health issues and generating positive discussion; a topic a lot of bloggers write about and a passion I believe a lot of the community hold. What I adore about reading it on THIS blog is she comes at it from all different angles, from a personal level, from research and from her experiences learning about it and studying it which i haven't read anywhere else.

1.

You might remember way back when, I retweeted something and then shared it in a Friday Favourites post about how I was more famous than Twitter. Rachel is the gal that made that happen. I still want to add it to my blog bio but I worry it might sound a bit pretentious ya know? (True do). Basically Rachel tweeted me to say every time she types TW into her search bar it automatically directed her toward my humble blog even over Twitter, that's how much she visited me. And that is why I am a major fan girl of No Space For Milk, because she's a pretty darn rootin tootin nice gal to me too. <3

The biggest of hugs, kisses and thankyous to the girls advertising with me this month; they all had themselves booked in, links sent, banners/blog buttons attached by the first week in January and it makes my job of advertising a damn side easier when they're all such angels!
