5 Minutes With My Advertisers - April 2018.

Meet my April advertisers.

I know I keep saying it but really, how are we on to April advertisers already? How is it even April? How fast is this year going plz?

Anyway before I get onto silently screaming about time, I have 6 lovely advertisers to introduce to you - some new and some returning.

5.

Megan from Lazy Thoughts has snapped up another advertising slot and this time she's gone the whole hog and booked the top slot for herself. You can read about her previous advertising posts with me from December 2016MarchApril, JuneJulySeptember , October, February and March.

4.

I actually mentioned Megan just two days ago in my social media and blog statistics blog post because I was talking about how similar our blogs are and how similar our reports always are. I love reading Megan's blog reports, I am super nosey into people's stats and I love that she shares a really in depth account of how hers are looking. Read it here!

3.

Last month I waxed lyrical about Megan's new look Instagram feed and this month she's only gone and locked that in with a new blog layout too. Lazy Thoughts has always been one of my favourite blogs to visit and her old look massively inspired my desire to have a home page to my own blog. Her new look is a lot of the same bits that worked with some new bits added in like more recent blog posts which I really love and it's looking sharper than ever.

2.

One of my favourite posts that Megan has written in the last month was her cruelty free makeup update, which you can find here. I really like reading about how people are cutting waste or making healthier choices or ones that impact the environment but also in a really tangible way? I feel like reading posts like this make me think it's small changes we can all make and rather than chuck out the entirety of your makeup bag, you can just replace empties with cruelty free as you can and Megan's post is exactly that. Big fan.

1.

I wouldn't be promoting Lazy Thoughts if I wasn't talking bullet journals would I? Luckily for me Megan posted an update on hers just yesterday and I am obsesseddddd. It's a quick post, just a little photo heavy update on her April bujo set up and I love it. I feel like we're so focussed on creating really shareable bullet journal content we forget sometimes people are just nosey and want to see what you designed this month and I am determined to create more posts like Megan's. I am in love with the leaf design and the layout of the blog calendar and plan to nick it all and add it to my bujo for sure.

A new advertiser! I have been following Charlotte for a while now, I can't even remember how I discovered her but we live fairly local to each other and have really similar interests and blog content ranging from blogging to Ikea and bullet journaling. Charlotte's blog is super sleek, super easy to navigate and a firm fav on my Bloglovin feed.

4.

I've already mentioned bullet journaling is a hot topic on Charlotte's blog so it'd be rude not to start with it wouldn't it? She's recently moved into a new bujo and has written this post all about how to transition your content into your new bae. I am obsessed with Charlotte's bullet journal so I was super excited this was such a photo heavy post so I could nick loads of her ideas for my own journal! She also kindly gave me a shout out and has used some of my font designs and some of my doodles which is great because I loooove seeing how you're all using them.

3.

What's better than one bullet journal post? Two of course! Luckily for me Charlotte also updated us on how she's keeping her bujo supplies organised which you can read about here. I myself have a very limited bullet journal supply stash having been very much a black and white only gal for a good two years but now I am adding some colour in, plus finding the need for washi tape, scissors and glue more and more this is definitely a post to bookmark. Oh and FYI Charlotte has a pen collection most W H Smith stores would envy.

2.

When I have a new advertiser I always like to go way back in their archives to dig out something you might not have read, or can't find as easy as binging on their latest content and I found this gem from way back when last summer. 50 things to do when you're bored is the ultimate resource to make sure you're never bored again and deffo one to pin for later. From your standard procrastinating tools like Twitter and Pinterest there's also some more sensible ideas like washing the car, having a declutter or some fun ones like working your way through IMDB's top 250 films.

1.

I always like to share one social media platform for my advertisers and for Charlotte I've picked her Instagram. It's a healthy mix of lifestyle, delicious looking food and bullet journaling and Charlotte is one of the loveliest people on the platform - always there with a comment or a DM to make you smile. Go follow her here!

Bethany has previously advertised with me from way back  in November 2016, following it up in AprilMayJune, July and August as Spare Oom and then she then had a huge rebrand and started advertising with me again in January under B.Rambling and then again in February and March too.

4.

If you're into Instagram accounts with buckets of personality then Bethany's is your bang my friend. Forget the flatlays that could be anyone's, if you want snaps of Manchester looking it's finest and a sexy ass green coat then this is the account for you. Follow Bethany on Insta here!

3.

Ok so I haven't worked in an office for a single day off my life but holy hell Bethany's latest post '6 people you find in every office' had me giggling. I might not have the experience to relate to this but her sarcasm had me loling all the way through so if you do work in an office environment, or ever have, then deffo give it a read.

2.

I have tried to put into words my love for Bethany and her blog before and I really don't think I've done it justice so enter, her own blogging birthday celebration. Brambling Blog (or Spare Oom) is two years old and Bethany reflects in this post about what it's brought her and how much she's enjoyed it and it is everything. I feel like I have been reading Bethany's blog from the beginning and it's not far off the truth and I have said before on my own blog how I feel like she's really just loving life lately? And this post just sums it up better than I ever could and I just adore her.

1.

You can't get rid of Bethany that quickly - the gal has signed up to be with me right through to June so she'll be back next month too! Sometimes advertisers sign up months in one go so I can barely remember how long they're with me, and that's exactly what happened here!

I deffo am going to have to stop writing these at some point but I love having a resource where you can check out what I have previously shared from advertisers. With that in mind you can read all about Ellen from E L Feel Good Vintage from AprilMayJuneJulyAugustSeptemberNovember in 2017 and January , February and March of this year too.

4.

Back last year Ellen was advertising not one but three blogs with me but has since condensed it down to this one and I feel like she's really niched what she's all about. Her blog banner has a new look and she's wound down her categories to compromise 'blogging', 'lifestyle' and 'reviews & giveaways' and it's made her blog all the more easy to navigate and find what you're looking for.

3.

Ellen writes a whole range of topics on her blog and often shares blogging tips or tricks or ways to improve and has recently published one on 10 habits of successful bloggers. There's some really great tips in there from all kinds of bloggers from scheduling to Pinterest to simple things like remembering to internal link at all times for better SEO. If you're looking for some easy ways to implement new strategy into your blog then this is deffo it.

2.

Ellen is a super regular blogger and there's always something new to find on her site so I went back through the easter content to find something I had missed or something I hadn't read yet when I stumbled across this post on how to deal with negative comments. This was actually a really interesting read and something I think a lot of bloggers have to contend with a lot of the time. It's hard having negativity, or even trolling on your feed and learning to respond or not is deffo a skill to be learned.

1.

And the award for the longest running advertiser goes to -drum roll please- Ellen. No surprises there I think she won that crown a long time ago but just to make sure she had the crown on her head and the trophy in her hand she's fully booked up with be with me till December.

5.

And another new face for you all this month - let me introduce Courtney! Courtney from Courtney's Little Things is a Spanish teacher and has been blogging for a good few years now with a big range of topics. You can see on her blog she has tabs for blogging, bullet journaling, college, lifestyle, organisation, self care and travels so there'll definitely be something that takes your fancy!

4.

One of Courtney's latest posts is 6 lessons she's learned on her fitness journey so far and as someone who has taken up running again in the last few weeks in an avid attempt to get fitter, this was v much the post I needed to read. I could not agree more with her first lesson which is all about how it's a lifestyle change not just a fad diet and she's got some great tips in the rest of the post about remaining organised and disciplined and making sure you carve time for it in your day to day life.

3.

Courtney has a tab on her blog literally dedicated to life organisation and that my friends is a tab I can get on board with. I went way back in the tab to find something you might enjoy and stumbled across this little piece from 2016 about weekend to do list for a clean home. With Spring finally here and spring cleaning underway in most homes I thought it was a good time to share (or maybe just one to pin if you're not quite there yet!) Read here!

2.

I was having a good old stalk of Courtney's Pinterest account before I wrote this and immediately knew it was my social media recommendation for you to all follow. Courtney has a million and one boards (including that all important bullet journal one) but by far and away my fav is a whole board dedicated to succulents and plants. It has definitely fuelled my ambition to have a house jungle and deffo one I am going to pin the living daylights out of when I have half hour.

1.

You didn't really think I was going to miss out bullet journaling did you? You don't know me at all. Courtney's latest bujo post is how she's using it as an aid for her fitness and she's gone all out on spreads and trackers to keep her motivated. I myself have only included a weight loss tracker and a recently added running tracker but having seen Courtney's spreads I might just be adding some more motivational content to my bujo when I get home! Read all about it here!

Hailey will be no stranger to you I am sure having advertising with me first in 2016 in November and December and then again in January, FebruaryMarchSeptember, November and December in 2017 and also in 2018 by signing up for February and March too, where she was gold advertiser.

4.

The days have Tinder have bypassed me massively having me my other half back in school when we were 17 but that didn't stop me tickled pink by Hailey's post on when I match on Tinder. I love a post where someone lists all their thoughts through an experience and this one really had me laughing - especially "But I’m trying not to be a bitch" cos I know I for one can relate.

3.

I always talk about how much I enjoy Hailey's end of the month round ups so I was pleased to see she'd published one just in time for me to include it in this roundup. It looks like Hailey had a super busy month with lots of fun thrown in like her 10 year graduation reunion and journalism school which sounds ace. Unfortunately Hailey has had a really shit end to the month so send her a lil or a fun GIF on Twitter for sure.

2.

Hailey's Instagram is looking flyyyy at the moment, full of her photos from Barcelona back in February for her birthday. Every time she posts a new pic it makes me desperate to hop on a plane and go travelling and I reposted one as my choice for her gold advertising slot last month. Follow her here if you aren't already!

1.

Sadly this is the last month for now that Hailey is advertising with me so whilst you can't rely on my retweeting of all her new content, you can follow her on Bloglovin and have all her latest posts delivered straight to your inbox whenever she publishes!
